Les Demoiselles d'Avignon

This Sunday's Mixtape set went a little artier. Like, Cubist artier. I put together a set based abstractly on Picasso's Les Demoislles d'Avignon. It ended up going in cycles - from what the aesthetics of this bizarre brothel might have felt like to a social commentary on prostitution to what may have lead the male viewer of the painting there to how everyone might have felt after the moment in the picture.

I've been obsessively reading Rolling Stones bios lately so I diverged into Marianne Faithfull's autobiography, Faithfull. Wow, did she sleep with some bizarre people and tell her own fantastic version of some Stones folk lore. Yup, I've returned to the wild world of Second Life DJing. First time back: sweaty palms, totally effed it up in the beginning because I forgot how to use Nicecast and inputted the wrong stream URL.
